With gratitude and humility, we offer the healing work at Blackbird Counseling & Wellness, which takes place in what is now known as San Antonio, Texas. We acknowledge that this area is home of and traditional lands of Tonkawa and Payaya peoples of the Coahuiltecan band, original and indigenous stewards of this land.

As an accomplice in the work of decolonization and dismantling white settler/supremacist systems of oppression, I am committed to naming and acknowledging these lands and indigenous peoples as well as continually addressing and deconstructing my own privilege and internalized settler/colonizer thoughts and behaviors. With intention and respect, we honor our elders both past and present and seek to work in collaboration with all Nations with whom I reside on this land.
